About the Department

The Department of Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine is part of the Medicine Division. The department provides inpatient care in Falun and outpatient care in Falun and Borlänge, with a total of approximately 135 employees.

The position is located in Borlänge at the Geriatrics and Outpatient Rehabilitation unit of Borlänge Hospital. We provide specialized rehabilitation at home or at the clinic. We are a multiprofessional team that conducts memory investigations, neuro-rehabilitation, stroke follow-ups/rehabilitation, and specialized home rehabilitation to enable early discharge from inpatient care. The team works closely together, creating a tight-knit group that supports each other and strives to do their best for patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a Medical Secretary include care documentation for both inpatient and outpatient care.

• Patient booking
• Managing time registers
• Cash handling
• General administrative support to the department

The position is primarily based in Borlänge, but working with the department's units in Falun is a natural part of the role, and you may occasionally need to be present in Falun. There are 7 medical secretaries in total at the department.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have one of the following educations:

• Medical Secretary Programme (120 hp)
• Healthcare Administration Programme (180 hp)
• Vocational Education in Medical Secretarial Work (400 credits)
• 1-year post-secondary healthcare documentation education

Meritorious:

• Experience with Cosmic
• Experience working in BILD
• Experience with document management
• Category B driver's license
